"As a youngster I was taught to drive luxury cars with class and fast cars fast by my cousin! My cousin owned a small exotic sports car performance shop where we bought scratch and dent exotics, rushed back to restore the damaged areas then market to European performance enthusiast. At the time, it was exciting driving these German exotics, and boring being in the shop all day, but now it is the reverse as I spend 60-70 hours a week inside the shop. My grandma and uncles shared their love with the American Classics while my cousin showed me the world of exotics, so I truly am all makes and models. I understand God was developing me for today's assignment."

- Sabra Johnson
Sabra Johnson's passion for cars and trucks runs deep. It started with the stories his grandmother would share on her antebellum style porch in the '70s and early 80's- those were stories full of fun, innocence and cool cars. The deeper story is that Sabra's father (Harrison) died when he was 2 years of age. As a child, Sabra's simmering memories of his father were fanned through the stories Grandma Anna told… and many times a cool car was featured! He listened intently as Miss Anna painted the story of her son and grandson's time in the cars of the '60s and early '70s. Each day and every project at City Classic cars is a walk down memory lane for Sabra Johnson just like those stories on grandma’s porch. The performance passion was stirred when his uncles and older cousins would line-up on the main street in their modified cars of the '50s & '60s for all to see and race for bragging rights. Sabra was a constant presence to Mr. Porsche himself, Adam Samuels, of Samuel Auto Brokers. During this time, Sabra helped to build, repair, and test drive Maserati, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes Benz, and other foreign exotics in his shop, gaining experience and igniting his passion.
Over the years, Sabra has invested his time, talent and visionary insight into entrepreneurs forging their way in various business sectors. Sabra uses his connections, influence, and business fortitude to help them find pathways to success. Sabra believes that giving is one of the foundational principles to finding success in business. Evidence of this principle is his Next Gen apprenticeship program. Sabra works with local school districts to procure students that have an interest in automotive restoration, mechanical engineering, and woodworking. He gives these students a paid apprenticeship opportunity to learn the skills that are necessary to build a career in the automotive industry.
Sabra Johnson understands that building a bridge for the next generation is the only way for the restoration industry to progress.
